The Federal Register published details of the FCC’s Auction 109. The auction of 136 FM and four AM construction permits will enable winning bidders to construct new radio stations.

The AM CPs are for four previously licensed AM radio stations in the St. Louis market: KFTK(AM), East St. Louis, IL; WQQW(AM), Highland, IL; KZQZ(AM), St. Louis, MO and KQQZ(AM), Fairview Heights, IL. On the FM side, the CPs to be auctioned include 130 permits that were previously listed in the inventory for Auction 106, plus six additional permits.

Also included are 34 CPs that were offered but not sold, or were defaulted upon in prior auctions. Lists of both AM and FM CPs to be auctioned are here.

The FCC posted an online tutorial for parties interested in participating in Auction 109. The tutorial is available for on-demand viewing on the “Education” tab of the Auction 109 website
