Congruex, a national end-to-end provider of digital network design and build services, has completed the acquisitions of telecommunications service providers Tower Engineering Solutions, LLC (TES) and Sorensen Companies Inc. (SCI). The acquisitions represent the seventeenth and eighteenth purchases by Congruex since it was formed in partnership with Crestview Partners, a New York-based private equity firm. Financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

TES and SCI will provide synergies with existing Congruex engineering capabilities, according to Bill Beans, Jr., CEO of Congruex. “We identified TES and SCI as sharing many qualities that naturally align with Congruex: industry-leading engineering and construction expertise, dedication to client service, and commitment to cutting-edge innovation,” Beans said.

Sensing a boom in fiber-optic buildouts, Congruex was formed in 2017 to integrate engineering and construction companies into a single, turnkey platform with network capabilities to provide program management, engineering, construction, and utility relocation. It provides engineering services nationwide and construction services in the Pacific Coast, Rocky Mountain, Central, South Central, Midwest, and Southeast regions.

Because of the fragmented nature of the fiber-optics industry and the fact that the current buildout favors large contractors, Congruex is growing through acquisitions and providing back office systems to assist the local organizations, while retaining their independent identities, according to Beans.
