WIA President/CEO Jonathan Adelstein told attendees of Connect(X) in Denver yesterday that the show will be held in New Orleans next year, on May 8-10.

“We are so excited to bring Connect (X) to the birthplace of jazz next year,” said Adelstein. “For us music fans, best news of all Connect (X) immediately follows Jazz Fest, so plan to come early. I know I will.”

Those who signed up yesterday received a 40 percent discount off their registration. He urged attendees to visit the WIA booth on the exhibit floor to see any WIA staff to register or rebook their exhibit space.

Supplier Diversity Summit

WIA hosted the annual Supplier Diversity Summit yesterday. “At Connect (X), we do more than talk about it; we make it happen,” said Adelstein, the leader of the advocacy organization.

Over the years, the Supplier Diversity Summit has connected minority owned, woman owned, and veteran owned businesses with some of the biggest players in wireless, according to WIA. “And they don’t just meet. They make deals in one-on-one meetings,” Adelstein explained.

“We link diverse companies with the biggest contracting companies in the business. The Summit has become a staple of Connect (X) and WIA is proud to host it,” he said. Adelstein thanked companies that support this initiative, including: American Tower, AT&T, Charter, Cisco, Crown Castle, DISH, Phoenix Tower, SBA, T-Mobile, Verizon, Vertical Bridge, and Vision Technologies. He urged attendees to use the Connect (X) app to schedule meetings.
