Construction in Duluth to Cross Finish Line

The construction of a Sprint communications tower in Duluth, Minnesota, will finish this week. Several trails were closed in Chester Bowl Park while the tower was being erected. The park remained open, but because the tower was placed near the western trails, several areas were fenced off. The project was initially met with some opposition, but the tower was eventually approved so Sprint could enhance their coverage in the area. The tower is disguised as a monopine to blend in with its natural surroundings. Once the landscape restoration is complete in the next week, the closed trails will reopen.
