A tower tech overcome by 99 degree heat in Katy, TX was rescued Friday afternoon around 3:30 P.M. CST by the local fire department according to KRIV-TV. The monopole, located on Greenbusch Road, was where the unnamed man, an employee of Enertech according to Inside Towers sources was stricken by the high temperatures and unable to climb down on his own volition. The Fort Bend County EMS and Sheriff’s Department was also on scene. The worker, once down, walked to the waiting stretcher on his own and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for observation. There was no further report on his condition.
