Galtronics Finalizes Kaelus Acquisition
Galtronics, a subsidiary of Toronto, Ontario-based Baylin Technologies, announced the completion of its acquisition of Sweden’s Kaelus AB. Baylin says the combination of the two businesses creates one of the wireless industry’s most comprehensive end-to-end RF solution portfolios. Galtronics, headquartered in Tempe, AZ, offers a full line of antennas for multibeam, small cell, stadium, DAS, and base station applications, along with embedded antennas for devices and networking equipment.
Kaelus brings Galtronics new capabilities in base station antennas including beam through technology, RF conditioning equipment, Global Navigation Satellite System synchronization with anti-jamming technology, and a portfolio of test and measurement equipment.
“This acquisition brings together highly complementary technologies and expertise,” comments Leighton Carroll, Baylin Technologies CEO. “By expanding our capabilities, we are enabling customers to deploy next-generation wireless networks with greater speed, confidence, and performance.”
The combined company will offer integrated solutions spanning a range of antennas, RF conditioning, and test and measurement; enhanced engineering and product development resources focused on next generation RF solutions; and expanded global capabilities across North America, Europe, and beyond serving existing and new customers.
Kaelus will operate as “Kaelus, a Galtronics company,” maintaining brand recognition of both companies and will continue with its current management team which has full P&L responsibility, according to Baylin. The company says that all existing contracts remain in effect, with procurement integration managed transparently over time.
