.
The project combines $20 million in bond funding with $10 million in federal broadband grants and a $10 million local match to bring high-speed internet access to every home and business in the county.
Additional bond funds will support upgrades at the Tusculum substation and construction of a new 9,000-square-foot warehouse addition for GEA. Officials expect the bond issuance to go to market in July pending state approval.
