Better together.  Two sister companies KCCTech and KCN Communications teamed up, to create an In-House Turnkey Wireless Infrastructure Organization that is greater than the sum of its parts. Jeremy Noland, Hakan Kavlak, and Ike Cark took different routes in their careers, which made them the perfect combination to form a company together.

Noland has been in the telecom industry for almost 20 years and has a background in Mechanical Engineering, Integration Technology, and Construction. He started in this industry as a construction manager on the vendor side serving the wireless carriers. Then he worked for the carriers, specifically, AT&T and T-Mobile, before going back to working on the vendor side.

“On the carrier side, I had the experience of seeing things that were not so efficient with regards to building sites and, more importantly, getting those sites on air without issue,” Noland said. “And now on the vendor side, we already know what our customer, for the most part, is looking for. Having that insight, experience and established relationships with the carriers is gigantic with regards to our overall delivery.”

Kavlak has a PhD in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on RF Optimization & Control, and he is a multiple research and publication contributor on telecom topics, including PIM and intermodulation analysis. Kavlak has worked on telecommunications projects globally.

Cark has BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering and an MBA in IT Management; he has worked in the field of PMO, focused on multiple national network rollouts and CORE projects as program manager and management consultant for major OEMs and carriers over the last 20 years.  His experience expands out to the ICT industry, having worked for some major software and IT companies.

Noland met Kavlak and Cark during his time working with T-Mobile and AT&T, and they met up again when Noland was managing tower construction operations for SAC Wireless.

“Everybody talks about how small this industry is. This is truly the case, because the three of us have known each other for quite some time, and we’ve always dreamed about having a services company such as the one that we have now,” Noland said.

Kavlak and Cark founded KCCTech in 2016, which employs subject matter experts around the world in the wireless telecom industry to provide advanced engineering solutions to wireless carriers and network equipment vendors. The company’s core services included: RAN/RF Engineering, Scoping/Design, Integration/Commissioning, Tuning/Optimization, Testing and Consulting Services globally.  KCCTech continues to expand as a major SI (System Integrator) in 5G and Open RAN space, working with major OEMs on building Open RAN labs and field trials globally, positioning to be a major SI player in the Open RAN rollout globally, and earmarked to expand in 2022.

KCCTech’s engineers developed a software application, known as PiMThor, to identify and pinpoint the root cause of RSSI / Passive Intermodulation and Interference (PIM) challenges on carriers’ networks. “Ike and Hakan have taken some innovative strategies in regard to the software technologies to identify and mitigate PIM,” Noland said.

In 2020, with their motto “See how we do it…differently,” KCCTech proceeded to implement “end-to-end” construction and maintenance services with the development of KCN Communications, allowing faster, more efficient, and higher quality delivery capabilities for its customers. Kavlak and Cark both serve as managing partners of KCCTech and KCN, and Noland is president of KCN and the RMO of KCCTech.

“With everything being so expensive and fast tracked nowadays, it really is becoming more and more of a necessity to have that in-house, one-stop shop,” Noland said. “For the kind of project pricing that we are now getting from our customers, delivery requires a purpose-driven, efficient, and often creative approach.”

Today, KCCTech has 250+ employees globally; it has a footprint in 24 States in the US and regional offices in Mexico, Canada, Indonesia, and expanding in Europe. KCN Communications, which has about 70 employees, has market offices and tower technicians across six western states.

Together, the companies bring years of experience in multiple disciplines to provide end-to-end, wireless infrastructure solutions for carriers. Click here to learn more about KCCTech or call (628) 400-2420.
