Verizon is in the final stages of lease negotiations with a third party concerning a 60-foot tower that would be built in Viewpoint Park in Prescott Valley, Arizona. The town’s Parks and Recreation Commission approved the installation of the tower, but before the proposals moves forward it must be approved by the Town Council. In June, more than 100 residents showed up to a public meeting on the project, and most of them agreed the tower was necessary to improve cell service. If the Town Council approves the tower, the town could receive up to $2,000 a month.
