A protective antenna covering broke loose last Wednesday on a monopole located on I-4 in Orlando, FL, reportedWDBO-FM. A red sedan headed eastbound between Princeton and Par ramps was struck by the plastic shroud but no injuries were reported by the Florida Department of Transportation.
Caught on a dashcam video, police speculated the piece was loosened by gusts of high wind and eventually broke free, falling towards the interstate. In the video, the cover lands on the roof of the car and breaks apart instantly, casting bits and pieces of itself across the road. Watch the video here.
