Not a Time For Jokes Nor Fools

Normally, we might get caught up in a good-natured April Fool’s prank today. Seems almost archaic now, but it was that unofficial quasi-holiday that reminded us not to take life too seriously. Remember it? Well, life has gotten just that as of late and the act of fooling someone, nerves frayed, future uncertain, loved ones at the forefront of our thoughts and actions, would only be an act of profound cruelty. The image of a refrigerated truck backed up to a hospital loading dock has caused a fundamental change in how we value our human existence and how we treat each other. If we can re-channel that old devious energy to acts of kindness and understanding, then it can be the best April 1st we’ve ever had.

Inside Towers, along with all of you, is working harder than ever to keep our industry running efficiently, effectively and knowledgeably. And while we’re all blessed to be working when so many friends and family are not, we have a bigger purpose: the world is counting on us. The stakes got higher and the job got even more serious. As an observer of the industry, we can see it as it comes together to keep everyone connected using all of the skills, vision, physical exertion, and doggedness of purpose that can be mustered. Being designated as suppliers and builders of “critical infrastructure” has spurred companies and individuals to reach beyond themselves. From our vantage point, we are seeing stories of struggle, certainly, but also of unselfish devotion to a greater cause and it is our job to bring those to you. Seriously.
