OSHA Safety Stand-Down for Falls: Promoting Awareness and Prevention

Falls continue to be a leading cause of work-related injuries and fatalities in the United States. To promote awareness and prevention of falls in the workplace, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will host an annual Safety Stand-Down for Falls from May 2nd to May 6th, 2023.

What is a Safety Stand-Down for Falls?

A safety stand-down is an event where employers and employees take a break from work to focus on a specific safety topic, in this case, falls. The stand-down provides an opportunity for everyone to discuss safety, share experiences, and promote best practices to prevent falls in the workplace.
