Qualcomm Highlights AI Innovations, Auto Partnerships at CES2025

At CES 2025, taking place in Las Vegas this week, Qualcomm Technologies (NASDAQ: QCOM), Inc. introduced what it calls “groundbreaking AI innovations that demonstrate its leadership in transforming user experiences across various device categories,” including PCs, automobiles, smart homes, and enterprises. CEO Cristiano Amon emphasized the ongoing generational shift in technology driven by AI, with a focus on moving AI processing to the edge. Qualcomm is working with its ecosystem partners to bring AI-first experiences to consumers and businesses, showcasing how on-device AI will become the next user interface across multiple device categories.

Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon® X platform, the fourth addition to its Snapdragon X Series, offering “industry-leading” performance, long battery life, and enhanced AI capabilities for the Windows ecosystem. The Snapdragon X Series has over 60 designs in development, with more than 100 expected by 2026.  

In the automotive sector, Qualcomm is expanding collaborations with companies like Alps Alpine, Amazon, Leapmotor, Mahindra, Hyundai Mobis, and Royal Enfield, who are adopting Snapdragon® Digital Chassis™ solutions for AI-powered in-cabin systems and advanced driver assistance systems. The company also highlighted the progress of its Snapdragon Elite-tier platforms, showcasing partnerships with Desay, Garmin, and Panasonic Automotive for Snapdragon Cockpit Elite. Qualcomm demonstrated its comprehensive approach to improving driver comfort and safety by integrating AI, multimodal awareness, and cloud-based services.
