This year has marked unbelievable growth for Tilson, a national network deployment and IT professional services firm. With more than 550 employees in 23 locations, and over 90 open positions, Tilson has created hundreds of new jobs across the country. The company earned a top spot on the Engineering News Record (ENR) Top 600 list of Specialty Contractors and was recognized for the 9th year in a row on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies.

Earlier this spring, SDC Capital Partners, LLC invested up to $100 million in the company. The investment enabled the spin-out and capitalization of Tilson’s network asset ownership affiliate and Tilson’s continued growth of nationwide network infrastructure design-build services. Using its strong self-performing site and route development team, Tilson’s infrastructure affiliate provides elemental infrastructure that enables faster deployment and offers flexible ownership structures, for poles, towers, dark fiber, and wireless networks to carriers, utilities, municipalities, enterprises, broadband/internet service providers and IoT operators.

In October, Alda Licis joined the Tilson team as the Vice President of Infrastructure Development. Alda oversees Tilson’s network development and leaseback services.

“Tilson’s incredibly creative and talented problem-solving culture is an engaging place to work. I’m excited to expand Tilson’s growing portfolio of community sensitive wooden, metal and decorative concealed structures that enable today’s dense wireless coverage applications,” says Licis. “Our flexible approach offers customers the ability to utilize new and existing infrastructure to optimize for cost, speed and technical requirements on small cell and other telecom projects. We specialize in providing disaggregated or bundled element of our clients’ infrastructure – poles, towers, dark fiber and wireless networks.”

“Tilson has hired unbelievably talented leaders over the last year and Alda rounds out our leadership team with a focus on infrastructure development” says Josh Broder, Tilson’s CEO. “With Alda’s addition and SDC’s support, we are in an even stronger position to serve the wide-ranging needs of our clients from national 5G rollouts to cutting edge IoT technology services. It’s a very exciting time to be at Tilson.”
