Trump Mobile Says Phones Will Begin Shipping Within the Week
According to an announcement made on a company Facebook page, the long-awaited Trump Mobile T1 phone will start shipping this week. The MVNO, owned and operated by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, announced Trump Mobile and its $499 “T1 Phone” in June 2025, drawing about 600,000 $100 preorders. But nearly nine months later, the delayed launch has sparked customer dissatisfaction and media backlash, according to Time Magazine.
The company has stated it faced delays after it realized large-scale smartphone manufacturing would not be feasible in the U.S., according to CNET. The device was originally promoted as “all-American,” but the company has since softened that language, raising questions about where it will be made. The website now states the phones are “designed with American values in mind,” and will use components “primarily” manufactured in the U.S.
Trump Mobile states it is a Mobile Virtual Network Operator that “does not own wireless towers or network infrastructure” and that coverage, service quality, and data speeds “depend on the underlying carrier networks.” Trump Mobile operates primarily using the T-Mobile network for its 5G service. While marketing materials initially mentioned using all three major U.S. carriers, analysts say the service is “powered by” Liberty Mobile, which specifically utilizes T-Mobile’s infrastructure.
An additional disclaimer on the company’s website states the following: “Trump and all associated designs are trademarks of DTTM Operations, LLC. Trump Mobile and all its products and services are not designed, developed, manufactured, distributed, or sold by The Trump Organization or any of their respective affiliates or principals.”
