At Vertical Bridge’s annual meeting Friday in Orlando, the firm’s more than 170 employees, along with 45 guests, built and decorated over 70 Little Free Libraries for the Orlando area. The libraries will encourage readers of all ages to share their favorite stories with one another through the non-profit’s free “take a book/return a book” exchange program.

The Orlando region currently only has about 60 of these units. However, in just one afternoon, Vertical Bridge doubled that number, making reading significantly more accessible for more people. Employees also brought in their favorite books to fill the libraries, and Vertical Bridge presented Little Free Library with a $5,000 check to help continue their literacy efforts. In total, this event represented a $45,000 contribution from Vertical Bridge to Little Free Library.
