What will the telecom landscape look like beyond 2020? Get answers to questions like these, and more, at the Competitive Carriers Association’s (CCA) 2020 Mobile Carriers Show (MCS), taking place March 30 – April 1 in Dallas, TX. MCS attracts more competitive carrier executives than any other industry event and is the place to make connections with key industry influencers.

5G, the Internet of Things (IoT), and policy updates from Washington, D.C. will be a major focus of the conference. For the first time ever, industry analyst Iain Gillott, President & Founder of iGR, will lead an interactive breakfast discussion focused on 5G. The session, entitled, “Moving Forward with 5G: Seven BIG Questions Answered on the Next Generation of Wireless,” will present research and opinions that provide answers and solutions to the most perplexing next-generation challenges identified by CCA’s carrier members. All attendees are welcome and encouraged to participate at this breakfast, taking place on Wednesday, April 1 at 7:30 a.m. CT.

In addition to the interactive breakfast, MCS also offers a number of unique educational opportunities including a day-long Agent Summit hosted by Corporate Dynamics on Monday, March 30. Geared towards independent agent (dealer) owners and managers and carrier account managers, “Improving Agent Performance: Your Road to Increasing Sales & Profit,” will provide attendees with the strategies and tools to help agents and companies become more engaged and more profitable. Participants will receive a business planning template with specific action plans for increasing wireless sales – a result everyone wants to achieve!

Award Solutions is back again this year hosting a complimentary two-part training session on the foundations of 5G and key considerations for deploying VoLTE. During the 5G portion, attendees will learn what 5G brings to the table, what carriers can do to prepare for 5G, and why spectrum is so important for next-generation technologies, especially for rural applications. The VoLTE session will discuss the impact of VoLTE on existing networks, VoLTE roaming options, KPIs, and how to prepare for deploying VoLTE.

The conference program on Wednesday, April 1 is jam-packed with educational sessions covering the most relevant topics in wireless. Speakers from the carrier, technology, and regulatory sectors will lead discussions on bringing 5G to rural America, creating value from data usage trends, capturing the 24-hour customer, meeting America’s insatiable spectrum demands, and more. CCA’s Director of Industry Development, Kim Caronchi, also will present an overview of CCA’s Industry Development Programs, which provide a unique opportunity for vendors/suppliers to deliver solutions to carrier members. In this session, attendees will see the results of CCA’s carrier survey, which includes valuable information on carriers’ current and future needs.

The show floor will feature industry innovators showcasing the latest technologies and services. With extended exhibit hall hours, there is ample time to visit the floor, check out new products, and meet with industry visionaries. The Start-Up Pavilion is returning, as well as the Sales & Profit Pavilion, organized by Corporate Dynamics, where companies will present products and services aimed at creating profitable, new income opportunities.

A fantastic pre-conference networking opportunity on Monday, March 30 includes a volunteer event with the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas at their STEM Center of Excellence. Volunteers will assist with various projects including organizing, restocking supplies, facility improvements, and more. It’s a wonderful way to connect with peers while giving back to the MCS host city. Later that evening, CCA will host its welcome party, “Beer, Boots & BBQ,” at Backyard – Dallas. Come in your best western attire and throw your hat in the ring to be named Best Dressed!
