Pure Safety Group (PSG) Issues Stop Use For Lifelines

Stop Use Alert!

Guardian Fall Protection Self-Retracting Lifelines that use a stainless steel or web lifeline were requested to be immediately removed from service by Pure Safety Group (PSG). The company said a small number of these SRLs were identified as 

non-compliant with ANSI Z359.14-14 although there have been no accidents or injuries related to the equipment in question.

  • #10908 (20’ Web)
  • #10931 (20’ Stainless Steel) 
  • #10933 (25’ Stainless Steel) 
  • #10936 (30’ Stainless Steel)

Diablo (formerly Daytona) SRLs:

  • #10979 (50’ Stainless Steel) 
  • #10980 (65’ Stainless Steel)

The company issued a similar stop-use notice in November of 2019, for its Guardian Fall Protection and Web Device 3-Way Rescue and Retrieval Self-Retracting Lifeline units. The recall affected the Guardian #10974 (50 feet) and #10981 (65 feet) units, as well as the Web Devices #0501312 (50 feet) and #0651312 (65 feet). It also includes Web Devices with the following parts numbers:

  • RDI-100-B
  • RDI-100-B/WW
  • RDI-100-B/WW SS
  • RDI-100BSS
  • RDI-100 65WWK

Custom or private-labeled 3-Way SRLs and 3-Way SRLs sold in Arc-O-Pod kits (#20001 and #20004) are included in the recall.
